Jon Walker-Morecroft

Jon first started his photography journey in 6th form (1977) where he ran a small photography club and the camera of the day was a Zenit E and all pictures needed chemicals to see them.

After leaving school the hobby was put on hold until much later after a stint in the Army and a corporate work life in the IT area.
A few years ago the desire returned and has become somewhat of a major distraction and enjoyment to him. He has been building up a portfolio of mainly natural shots (plants, fungi, macro, wildlife and scenery) of the local Swindon area.
His mode is to just take photographs of things around him while walking the dog or on holidays and time off. He's not a great fan of going somewhere to sit and wait for something to appear or to stage shots.
He uses Canon equipment with an array of EF L lenses and bodies. He rarely uses post processing packages such as Photoshop or Lightroom and prefers quick and easy editors for simple enhancements or nothing at all.
